Chris Coleman was born in Middletown, Twp, PA, on July 29, 1889. He married Cecelia McManus on June 27, 1917 at St. Patrick's Church in Middletow, Chris and Cecelia ( Cecel) had four children, Philip; Patrick Byrne ( Kathleen Mc Nemey); Hugh ( Joan Harmer); and Christopher ( Genevieve Bombersky). Chris was a lifetime farmer. His farm, located on the North Branch Road, was farmed by his son, Chris, and grandsons. Cecel served on the Public Assistance Advisory Board of Susquehanna County and also taught school for many years in Rush Township. Chris and Cecel were also very active in their church and community. Chris was the third child born to Frank Coleman and Hannah Byrne. My grandmother, Margaret Coleman O'Donnell was the first child born to Frank and Hannah, then came Lawrence D. Coleman and then Christopher. After Christopher, came Mary ( born 1891 - died 1892 ), then came Martin Coleman ( Rosina's father) then came Anna Mae ( Nonie's mother), then came Francis B, then came Norene ( Anne Mc Carthy's mother), then came Kathleen ( Maurice Fitzgerald's ( Junie) mother. Chris died in Montrose, PA on Nov. 8, 1972 after a long illness.
